Guest Post with Author Julie Bale and Giveaway

Today I am so freaking excited to welcome author Julie Bale to RFTC. Words cannot express just how much I love this chick and her book The Stillness of You. Seriously, you guys gotta read this book, so damn good! Julie has stopped by today to chat about what makes a great book boyfriend. Please give Julie a warm welcome.

Julie Bale fell in love with book boyfriends when she was twelve. She decided that when she was a grownup she would write her own book boyfriends. So that’s what she does.

When Julie isn’t writing she’s busy looking after a family that includes a couple of kids, her husband and a dog who is prettier than some people she knows, and a cat who thinks he’s human.

She loves The Walking Dead, Pretty Little Liars, The Foo Fighters, Vampire Diaries, The Fray, and The Gilmore Girls. And when she has time, she loves to kick back and read yummy romances with hot guys and girls who are cool enough to hang out with.

Places to find Julie:

What makes a great book boyfriend?

In my bio I talk about my love for book boyfriends and it’s no secret that one of the reasons that romance readers love reading any kind of romance, whether it’s new adult or adult contemporary romance, is the fact that a yummy leading man keeps us interested. It gets us invested and we want the girl to get the guy.

I write adult romance (as Juliana Stone) as well as new adult romance and I’ve written and read a lot of books over the last few years. I’ve fallen in love with guys I’ve written as well as guys I’ve read between the pages of many books.

For me, I love a little bit of bad in my leading man and in my paranormal romances, I’ve been accused of writing some real alpha males but I can’t help it because it’s what I like in those kinds of romances.

In contemporaries, things are a little different. I like a hero with edge but also with that soft, romantic touch. A guy who will save the kitten but kick someone’s ass if it needs to be done.

In The Stillness of You, Ben is one of those golden guys and he’s on the fast track to getting everything he wants. He thinks he’s got his life figured out, but then he meets Georgia King, someone who will turn his life upside down and the question becomes, can he handle her?

I love Ben and I hope my readers will as well, but it got me to thinking…who is your favorite book boyfriend and why?

Answer this question and I’ll award one reader your choice of either: OFFSIDE book 1 in my adult contemporary series, The Barker Triplets, or The Chaos in Me, book 2 in the Beautifully Damaged series which will release in late spring/early summer!

Georgia King is trying to survive after spiraling into a darkness that nearly took her life. In therapy and with her college dreams on hold, she’s trying to get healthy. Trying to still the craziness inside her. She has no room for someone like Ben Lancaster, and if he was smart he’d stay away. Because everyone knows Georgia is bad news. Everyone knows she ruins people. And if Ben isn’t careful, he’ll be next in line.

Ben Lancaster is a young, hot shot hockey player on his way to the top. Newly signed to the Philadelphia Flyers, he’s living the dream. The girls. The money. The fame. He thought he had everything he could want until he met Georgia. Suddenly he wants more–he wants her. He’ll do whatever it takes to get her and Ben Lancaster always gets what he wants.

But the girl who’s different from anyone he’s ever known is hiding secrets. And as the dog days of summer pass, only time will tell if Georgia’s secrets can be healed. Or if her bruised soul is strong enough to resist Ben Lancaster…

  14. Ian MacKenzie from Jennifer Ashley's The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie.
He is one of the most unique characters I've ever read about. I fell in love with him in the first few pages of the book. He loved Beth so much that he willing to do everything he could to over come his problems with interacting with people.

  15. Oh gosh, I have to pick just one?! It would have to be Chase Grayson from Molly McAdams' Taking Chances. He is the bad boy with a good heart that feels he doesn't deserve his lady. And although, he doesn't get his chance at a HEA, he will forever remain the boy who stole my heart. When he says, "She's my whole world..." I still tear up! <3
