Guest Post with Author Marisa Cleveland and Giveaway

Today I would like to welcome to RFTC author, Marisa Cleveland. Marisa is celebrating the recent release of her novella, The Valentine Challenge and has stopped by to share her top 10 words of inspiration. First, lets get to know Marisa a little.

Marisa Cleveland loves to laugh, hates to cry, and does both often. As a writer, she writes. Every day. If she couldn’t express herself through writing, music, and dance, she would die. Perhaps because she married her best friend, her adult romance novels focus on playfully naughty relationships developed through friendship and family-oriented values. She believes romance novels are the perfect “how to” books, because no matter the obstacles, the characters keep working toward their happily ever after.

Guest posts are so fun, and today I get to chatter about inspiration, the trickiest interview question I've faced during my first ever blog tour. :)

What inspires you?

My initial answer is this: I don't know.

But then I realized everything inspires me. People, places, things. I'm inspired by possibilities and music and Facebook status posts and tweets and words...

So I'm going to share with you my top ten inspiring words:

  5. Great post! The song you quoted from Wicked, Defying Gravity never fails to get me motivated. A funny fact - my writing partner, Carey has that song as my ring tone when I call her. ;-) Guess everybody knows I'm an eternal optimist!

  8. My grandmother always said "Pretty is as pretty does."

    I've know people (my sister for one) who really fit this -- when acting nice, the person is pretty, but when acting ugly, that person just looks ugly, ugly.

    So, I try to always act in a way I know my grandmother would approve.
