ARC Review: No Reverse by Marion Croslydon

Let me start off by saying that I really wasn't sure what to expect with this one. I have never before read a book by Marion Croslydon, but the blurb and the cover drew me in. For me this story was so deeply emotional and I found myself instantly falling in love with Josh and Cassie. Their story is beautiful and heartbreaking and I was rooting for them from the very first page. I am so glad that their story continues in another book because I wasn't nearly finished with them.

When Cassie and Josh were in high school they thought they had it all. They had grown up together, he was the quarterback and she was a cheerleader. They always expected that they would end up together and that it would always be them against the world. But after Cassie got pregnant their lives were forever changed. They quickly got married, but shortly after there was no longer a baby and the two separated. Five years later Josh is in England finishing his post grad degree at Oxford, and Cassie is still in Kansas struggling to figure life out after the passing of her grandmother. Cassie receives divorce papers and a letter that rock her to her core, and she sets out to find Josh and lay all her cards on the table to save the one person besides Josh that she loves. What she doesn't expect is to come face to face with the reason Josh is finally asking for a divorce, his fiance. Cassie must set her hurt and feelings aside in order to take care of business, but along the way Josh and Cassie realize that they aren't as over the past as they originally thought they were. The connection between them is still there and the chemistry is stronger than ever.

Josh and Cassie are absolutely perfect for each other. I loved that they had grown up together and that they were friends from such a young age that just grew into a deeper love. It was so sweet and perfect. And then there is the heartbreak of all the struggles the young couple faced that tore them apart. I was so connected to Josh and Cassie that my heart was breaking for them, but I had hope that the love that they had couldn't just disappear after some tough times. Josh was sweet and thoughtful and I loved how intense his feelings for Cassie were. Cassie was strong and brave and had to endure so much at such a young age. Although her and Josh both made mistakes, it was easy to see that they both thought that they were doing what was best for the other.

Overall, I loved this book. I thought it was extremely well written, the characters all had depth and it was easy to fall in love with not only Cassie and Josh but the other characters as well. Unfortunately this book ends somewhat abruptly and absolutely leaves you wanting more. Its not a huge cliffhanger, but there are many things left unresolved. I am anxiously awaiting the next book as I'm still feeling the connection to Josh and Cassie, But I'm also excited to read the books that are coming about a few of the secondary characters as well. I will absolutely be the first one in line to read the upcoming books from Marion Croslydon, and I cannot wait to see where she goes from here. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good heartfelt love story. This story was so realistic and true to life, and I found it even more believable because there were struggles and heartbreak along the way. To me this story is a must read, and I find myself wanting to go back and read it again.
