My First Love...

My first real true love or what I thought was love happened when I was fourteen. I was dating an older guy who ran track at the local public school (I went the goody two shoes christian school lol) and I was obsessed with him! He looked nothing like the "freshman" boys I was so used to, nope he was all man (or so I thought, and I hope to God Jason reads this haha). I was enamored because he was older, wiser, way more experienced in more ways than one but he was also really funny, genuine, and always had a smile on his face. My parents wouldn't let me get in the car with him (Smart parents, I way way too young), so he came to my house a lot and swam, watched movies, hung out, and even though my parents really liked him I felt some hesitation because of my age.

On the day of my fifteenth birthday he said he had a surprise for me, it was obviously past midnight, I was wearing a blue sundress and yellow cardigan (can we get any more private school here? I MEAN SERIOUSLY!), I wanted to look cute on my birthday after all. He grabbed my hand and took me outside, by his car, and straight up sang happy birthday to me IN FRENCH.

I DIE.

Okay obviously I didn't die on the spot Im still here, but I remember having this giant grin on my face like THIS is what its supposed to be like right? This is true love, real love. And then he gave me my first kiss, it was slow, felt funny because I obviously had never kissed a boy before. And I remember thinking in that moment, I'm kissing Jason. This is happening.

Later I went back inside (I love that I said later as if I stayed out there for eons but really it was like ten minutes), and my mom asked me if it was everything I hoped it would be (timeout, I have the best mom seriously), and I said yes. She didn't embarrass me or make me talk more about it, but I was so giddy the next day that I couldn't keep my mouth shut.

The funny part of the story is this, we dated maybe a few more weeks then he left for the summer (we broke up over that time) and stayed really good friends but it was almost like we both knew it wasn't meant to be, he started seeing other girls, and I later found out that my best friends at the time, Lisa and Jenna both had their first kisses with them too. HAHAHAA oh man I need to write a book about this. He SLAYED in High School! The funny thing is, we all laughed about it there was now weird jealousy only ah, gotcha, he likes girls good to know he likes kissing as well. To this day I still see him post sometimes on my timeline or I'll post on his, the other day he was at the store or somewhere and he had asked what the girl was reading and she had my book (either she had it or she said she read me) at any rate, he was like I know her. I hope his memories are as funny and fond as mine.

They always say you never forget your first kiss or your first love and I never did, I'm one of the lucky ones that looks back on it and grins form ear to ear. Short after that I started dating another boy I thought FOR SURE I was going to marry, good ol Dustin ;) That's a story for another time but whenever I think of those relationships I always think about those buzzed articles that talk about your first love being this innocent exciting thing and your next filled with angst and love/hate and all this back and forth drama. That was my relationship with Dustin, it was like being in love with your best friend but being constantly jealous he was talking to someone else and vice versa, again we are friends to this day, but its always funny to me how accurate those articles are.

I'd like to say my first two loves are incredible (from what I can see) fathers and husbands and it makes me so happy to see them fulfilling their lives with thier gorgeous families by their sides Good job guys, I'm a better person to have known you both.

Isla made one teeny little mistake. Now she and her PI company, Dirty Exes, are being targeted by one seriously angry and furiously sexy ex-quarterback. Jessie freakin’ Beckett. But there’s no way some NFL superhunk is going to take her business away. If only he didn’t make her so hot—and bothered.

Jessie wants payback for a ruined reputation. His plan? Top secret. His hard-to-hide arousal for Isla? Not so much. Especially when they let down their guards and sneak a kiss. Like any juicy scandal, it goes so viral, so fast, that only a good lie can combat the bad press. Mortal enemies in a fling? No way. Um…this is love!

Actually…could it be?

Isla’s not faking it. Jessie can’t. As the game of let’s pretend gets real, Jessie forgets all about revenge. That’s the problem. His plan is already out of his control. Now it could undo everything they’ve been trying to build. Coming clean may be the only thing that can save it.

  2. My first kiss was with the same guy as my cousin. I did kiss him first and then after we broke up she missed him. But not funny on my part cause I still liked him.
