ARC Review: Queen Move by Kennedy Ryan

I love Kennedy Ryan! She is an amazing human and her books are fantastic. Each new book of hers I go in with such high expectations because of all she has written but telling myself that it’s okay if it isn’t as good as her previous ones, and yet she always delivers something beyond my expectations. Queen Move proved this yet again, and I honestly think her talent just continues to grow. 

My favorite thing about Kennedy Ryan’s books is her ability to create unique and relevant characters that are so realistic, while also delivering a powerful story full of subjects that are meaningful. I love that her books make you think and want to constantly be a better person while growing as a reader and as a human. Ezra and Kimba definitely fit this, and I just loved them so much! Their story was one that had me from page one, and I loved getting to know them and what made each of them who they were. Their journey wasn’t easy, but it was exactly what it should have been. 

Overall, this was another amazing book from Kennedy and I cannot recommend it enough. My all time favorite Kennedy Ryan man is Grip, but Ezra gave him a run for his money for sure! He was just the kind of hero that makes me keep reading romance. Kimba was fantastic as well, and I loved her even more than I did after reading the All the King’s Men duet. If you haven’t read those books, I highly recommend them! They are so good, and that is where you get to meet Kimba. I can’t wait to see what Kennedy Ryan writes next, I know it will be another must read just like this and all her other books!

ARC Review: The Rebel King by Kennedy Ryan

The Rebel King is the second book in Kennedy Ryan’s All the King’s Men Duet, and it is not a standalone story. You need to read The Kingmaker first if you haven’t already before starting this book. I honestly can’t recommend enough any of Kennedy’s books, especially this series! Kennedy Ryan is one of my absolute favorite authors. She always writes such emotional and powerful stories, and this series is no exception. 

Maxim and Lennix’s story was so passionate and emotional, full of so much intensity and after the cliffhanger of the first book I couldn’t wait for more. I didn’t want to put this one down for anything and I was captivated right from the start. Kennedy Ryan’s characters are always so real and genuine and deeply layered and that has never been more true than here with Maxim and Lennix. I felt for each of them and they were unlike any characters I have read before. Through the ups and downs that they experienced, I admired their strength and couldn’t get enough. 

Overall, another fantastic book and series from Kennedy Ryan. I always love seeing how her stories will end, yet I am never ready to leave her characters behind. Maxim and Lennix will be characters I’ll never forget and as with all of her books, I know I’ll go back and read these again. I just can’t get enough of Kennedy’s writing and her books and I truly hope she never quits telling stories. If you haven’t read anything by Kennedy yet, you are seriously missing out and if you are already a fan, you will love this series as much as I do!

ARC Review: The Kingmaker by Kennedy Ryan

I absolutely love Kennedy Ryan! Her writing style is so easy to get lost in and never fails to captivate me from the very first word. I would read anything from her at this point, and I don’t even read her blurbs anymore, knowing that whatever it is I am going to read it. The Kingmaker was no exception, I went into this one blind and I loved every bit of it! I don’t know how she does it, but with each book her writing just seems to get better! Kennedy Ryan is at the top of my favorite authors list, and this book just reaffirmed that for me. 

Lennix and Maxim were everything! They were absolutely what I have come to expect from Kennedy Ryan when it comes to her characters. Unique and captivating, I loved them as individuals. But as much as I loved them separately, I adored them together. They were that once in a lifetime type of connection and love and I couldn’t get enough. 

I couldn’t put this book down and I can’t wait for more! I found myself wanting to read faster for more of Lennix and Maxim’s story, yet I also wanted to savor every word as well. I think readers are going to love this one! While this isn’t the end for these characters, I urge you to read this one! It is so worth it, and I have every faith that Kennedy Ryan will do the characters and story justice as only she can with the next installment in their journey. This is a must read!!

ARC Review: Block Shot by Kennedy Ryan

There is nothing that Kennedy Ryan could write that I would not read. She has proven over and over to me that she is an auto-buy author, and with each new book of hers there is never any doubt that I will love it. Block Shot is a standalone novel in her Hoops series, and honestly I couldn’t wait to read it! After seeing Jared some in his brother August’s book, I couldn’t wait to get to know him better. You can read this without having read Long Shot, but I would recommend reading them in order to get full enjoyment here and because Long Shot is amazing! 

Banner and Jared met in college and were friends, though both wanted more. Banner couldn’t believe that someone like Jared could actually be interested in her though, and when things go horribly wrong one night she was left with a broken heart. Years later, they are competitors in a field dominated by men, but Banner is no longer the same girl she was back when they used to know one another. But the attraction between them is just as strong as ever, and Jared is determined to have her. Can they get over the past and have a chance at a future together or will there be too many obstacles between them to overcome? 

I loved Banner and Jared! My heart went out to each of them, and I hated how things went down, breaking their hearts in the process. I knew these two were meant to be from the start, and I just kept hoping that they could figure things out. Banner was so strong, and to come so far from the insecure girl she once was was incredibly inspiring. She used her own experiences to help other women and didn’t ever let anyone tell her she couldn’t do anything. Jared was sexy and sweet, and I couldn’t get enough of him. I loved how he was with Banner, and the fact that he wasn’t willing to compromise his values and morals to get ahead. He went after what he wanted, but he did it in a way that you could respect. 

Overall, this was a fantastic story and I highly recommend it. I love all of Kennedy’s books and this was yet another that I couldn’t put down. Block Shot is a must read and I think readers are going to love it just like I did! You can’t go wrong with anything by Kennedy Ryan, especially if you are looking for a great story filled with depth and emotion. No one writes like she does, and I would recommend anything she has written!

ARC Review: Long Shot by Kennedy Ryan

Kennedy Ryan has done it again! She is definitely one of my top favorite authors, and each time I think that she has written my absolute favorite book she goes and proves me wrong. I honestly thought that Grip would be my favorite hero of hers ever, and August has seriously made me question that. I am still undecided because I just don't know that it is possible to pick just one favorite. 

Long Shot is the story of August and Iris. Iris thought that she had met her prince and that they were on the path for a great life together, but along the way she discovered that he wasn't anything like she thought. But when she met August, she knew that he was exactly what he seemed at first and the future that they could have together would be one worth having. Her fake prince wasn't about to let her go though, and life wasn't as easy as simply doing what she wanted to do more than anything. 

I will be honest and say that this story was far from easy and definitely deals with some issues that will be triggers for some. I won't get into much of the story because I don't want to spoil anything and I am sure that if you are looking to find out more you can easily find that somewhere else. What I will say is that Kennedy Ryan handled things with care here, while telling a story that I believe is worth reading even when it was hard. This might be fiction, yet it was also very real and for a lot of people out there is their reality. This story hopefully gets people to think of things in a new light and reconsider what they believe and say without knowing the full story. Kennedy Ryan has a way of doing that with each book she writes, shedding light on situations that are easily judged from the outside without having all the facts. She always makes me think about things in a completely new way, and for that she not only has my gratitude, but also a fan for life. 

August and Iris though were everything you could hope for in a great romance. They were unique and special, and easy to relate to. I was invested in their story from the very first page, and really felt like I was connected to them in a way that doesn't happen often. Days later I am still thinking about them, and I honestly love them even more than I did when I first finished the book which is saying something. They are impossible not to fall in love with and I think that their story is one that will touch everyone that reads it. 

Overall, this might just be my favorite book of Kennedy's, though I say that with each new release. I will never grow tired of reading her books and I honestly hope she never quits writing because she has a unique way of bringing characters to life and telling stories that need to be heard. If you are not reading Kennedy's books, you definitely need to be. I truly believe that her books have something for everyone. I cannot wait to read more in this series as I loved the characters here and I am not ready to leave this world behind. As always, I will be anxiously awaiting Kennedy's next release.

ARC Review: Still by Kennedy Ryan

Still is the conclusion to the Grip series by Kennedy Ryan. This book should only be read if you have already read Flow and Grip. Trust me, these are not standalones and you will want to start at the beginning to get every last bit of these characters. This series is one of my favorites, not only from Kennedy, but we are talking all time. It is sexy and sweet, emotional and heartbreaking at times. But honestly this journey has been one that I have adored and can't recommend enough. 

Grip and Bristol are finally together and looking toward their future. But they know that just like their past, the road together will never be an easy one. They will have to fight for what they want, and if they want forever then they will have to do it together. When they are continually tested though, can they remember to let the other in? 

Grip is seriously one of my favorite heroes ever. He is sexy and sweet, thoughtful and sentimental. His feelings run deep and he isn't afraid to show that to anyone. He is just one of those heroes that you want for yourself! He was captivating and his love for Bristol never ending and unshakable despite everything that they faced. Bristol was strong and loved Grip just as fiercely as he did her. These two were meant for one another, and their relationship and connection are truly one of a kind. They are special and the passion between them is unlike any I have read about before. 

Kennedy Ryan has been a favorite author of mine since I first read a book of hers, and with each new book I read from her she just gets better. She is talented and has a way with words unlike any other. Her characters are deep and unique, and impossible not to fall for. This series though is on an entirely different level. Kennedy Ryan has tackled some very heavy and difficult subjects with grace and knowledge, allowing the reader to see things in ways they might not have before. Just like Bristol, I felt like there was so much that I didn't know or didn't understand, and while I know I never will fully, I feel like I have a better awareness now than I did before reading these books. This series is truly one that is not to be missed, and I know Grip and Bristol will stay with me forever.

ARC Review: Grip by Kennedy Ryan

The one thing you need to know before starting Grip, is that if you haven't read Flow first you need to start there. It is the start of everything and really does need to be read first. Trust me, you won't regret it! As soon as I had finished Flow, I was dying to read Grip. It set up the story perfectly and I was captivated with these two in a way that I rarely am. 

Grip and Bristol first met when Bristol's brother (Grip's best friend) asked him to pick her up from the airport. But when circumstances left them both broken hearted, they went their separate ways. Now they are able to be friends again, but Grip wants everything with Bristol. Can he break through the walls that Bristol has put up, or will the risk of getting hurt again keep her from what they could have together? 

I absolutely love these two. That being said though, besides breaking their hearts they have also broken mine. There were some times that I wanted to shake both of them and tell them to just get over themselves. So much time was lost between them due to fear and insecurities and stubbornness. It is so obvious that these two were made for one another, and yet things definitely didn't come easy for them. They each had so much to them though, and it was easy to see that a lot of the time they were in their own head, especially Bristol. The connection between these two was undeniable and stronger than you often see, making them rare and special. But their chemistry is electric and it was a miracle that the tension between them didn't cause my Kindle to catch fire. I just couldn't get enough of them and never wanted their story to end. 

Overall, I loved this book. Kennedy Ryan has a way with words that is truly unique and she always writes such different and interesting characters. This story was such an emotional read, and I was invested right from the start. I highly recommend these books and honestly I can't say enough good things about them. Flow and Grip have been some of my top reads this year and I am so excited to read the next chapter in their story, Still.

ARC Review: Flow by Kennedy Ryan

I am usually not a huge fan on prequels, because more often than not they just rehash everything in them in the next story. That wasn't the case here with Flow by Kennedy Ryan though. This prequel perfectly set up Grip and Bristol's story and once I started I couldn't put it down. I was immediately drawn in and hungry for more. 

When Grip agrees to pick up his best friend's sister at the airport, he never expects to feel such an immediate connection. But the moment that he lays eyes on Bristol, he knows that she is different. Both of them have their reasons why they shouldn't pursue anything with the other, but find it impossible to deny what they feel.

I absolutely loved these characters right from the start! These two were very different, yet they worked together so well. It was as though they were made for each other and were meant to complete the other. Both Grip and Bristol were deep and well developed, even in this short prequel and I couldn't wait to get to know them any better. 

Overall, this was a fantastic start to this series and I honestly can't wait for more. This is definitely a must read before starting Grip, so make sure to read it first! I have always been a huge fan of Kennedy Ryan's since the first book I read of hers, but I think that Grip and Bristol have the potential to be my favorites from her! I am so looking forward to their story!

ARC Review: Down to My Soul by Kennedy Ryan

Down to My Soul is the second book in the Soul series from Kennedy Ryan. This book is not a standalone and needs to be read after My Soul to Keep. After the cliffhanger of the first book I could not wait to get my hands on the second part of Rhys and Kai's story. Kennedy Ryan never disappoints, and I really loved this book just as much as the first one. 

Down to My Soul picks up right after where My Soul to Keep left off. Rhys and his past and secrets caught up with him when he told Kai lies. It tore them apart and Kai walked away from him. But Rhys wants nothing more than to win her back. Kai has secrets of her own though, and is forced to face them. But the connection between Kai and Rhys is one that neither of them can let go of, but will their secrets destroy any chance of a future together? 

I really love these two. They frustrated me at times, but part of that was because I felt so emotionally invested in them that I just wanted them to figure everything out. The connection that these two have is so unique and special, and honestly is one of the strongest I have ever read about. I really felt like even though they had secrets and weren't always being open and honest with each other, that the way they interacted with one another was so different from what you typically find in romance. Even with them not telling each other everything, their communication felt strong which isn't something that you find often. I really believed these two were meant for one another, and though they had issues and secrets that there had to be a way for them to move past it all. 

Overall, this was a great conclusion to Rhys and Kai's story. I felt so connected to these characters, and these books gave me all the feels. These two had chemistry and an undeniable bond that nothing could break, and I loved seeing them continue to grow and change over the course of these two books. Kennedy Ryan is a great writer, and her books always deliver such depth and emotion. Though I have loved everything she has written, I really feel like the Soul series might be my favorite. These books are just so good, and I couldn't put them down. I highly recommend giving this series a shot if you are looking for a beautiful and emotional romance. I can't wait to see what Kennedy Ryan writes next!

ARC Review: Until I'm Yours by Kennedy Ryan

Until I'm Yours is the fourth book in Kennedy Ryan's Bennetts series. This book can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading in order if possible to really see how the characters here got to this point. It isn't necessary, but I think that Sofie's transformation over the course of the series is something that shouldn't be missed. I will admit that I wasn't her biggest fan before this book. Seeing how she was at the beginning of this series versus now though, I am so glad that I went into this book with an open mind. 

Having been a famous model since she was 18 years old, the world has always had one label or another for Sofie Baston. When her father asks her to help him reel in another big fish for business, Sofie never expects to come face to face with the hottest guy she has ever laid eyes on. But Trevor Bishop is more than just a pretty face, he is actually a really great guy as well. Soon Sofie realizes that Trevor is actually the one reeling her in, and there is nothing she can do to stop it. But when Sofie's past threatens to ruin everything that Trevor has ever worked for, she will do whatever it takes to do the right thing for him. 

I loved these two together. They were absolutely perfect for one another, and I couldn't get enough of them together. I really loved that the attraction between them was instant, yet they took things slowly. We got to see such a strong connection form between these two, and it was so clear that this was everything for them. Both had been in relationships before that were serious and could have been more, but they also knew that they hadn't found the right person. Sofie and Trevor had never been able to make it work with anyone else, because they were meant to find one another. I loved Trevor's constant support of Sofie, and how he never let her past change how he saw her. Sofie hadn't been a saint, yet he stood by her and I loved him all the more for that. 

Overall, this book was so much more than I had been expecting. I know that Kennedy Ryan is a great writer and I knew that I would love Trevor. I hadn't expected my mind to be changed so completely when it came to Sofie though. Kennedy Ryan knew exactly what she was doing with these characters, and it was all so genuine and felt so real. I truly believed everything that happened and I loved getting to know Sofie better. She hadn't been perfect, yet she had come so far and it was great to see all her progress. This book was emotional and difficult at times, but I really felt invested from the start and had to see how things would play out. If you haven't read this series or anything by Kennedy Ryan yet, I highly recommend it. I absolutely love this series, and this book was such a great addition to it.
