ARC Review: The Bed Mate by Kendall Ryan

The Bed Mate by Kendall Ryan is a short novella that takes place in her Roommates series, but it is a standalone story. I love Kendall Ryan's books, and this one was sweet and a great quick read. Maggie and Sam are best friends that have always had something between them, but with Maggie having a boyfriend as well as Sam dating other girls nothing has ever happened between them. Both have never acknowledged that there is anything more than friendship there, but when Maggie finds her boyfriend with someone else, things begin to change for her and Sam.

I really liked these two. The connection and chemistry was there for them the whole way through, and it was clear that they were good together. With a novella being shorter than a novel, I always struggle a bit because it's hard to find a relationship believable in such a short amount of time. Sam and Maggie's relationship was already somewhat established though, and I didn't have any trouble believing that their relationship was genuine. It felt right and these two felt like they belonged together.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story. I loved the setting of snow and winter fun, and while it isn't a holiday story it really put me in the mood for all things winter. Kendall Ryan is a great writer and I have enjoyed everything I have read from her, especially this series. If you are a bit short on time or are just looking for a great quick light read, I would recommend giving The Bed Mate a shot. Kendall Ryan is a go to author for me, and I always look forward to getting lost in one of her books. I can't wait to see what she writes next!

ARC Review: Dirty Little Promise by Kendall Ryan

Dirty Little Promise is the second book in the Forbidden Desires Series by Kendall Ryan. This book is not a standalone as it starts right where Dirty Little Secret ended and needs to be read in order. If you haven't already read Dirty Little Secret, make sure you start there because you will not want to miss out on anything, trust me! I couldn't wait for this one after I had finished the first book, that cliffhanger had me anxious for more! I needed to see how things would go for Gavin, Cooper and Emma.

With secrets revealed, Emma was left scrambling to make a decision. Trust in the connection that she had been feeling with Gavin and listen to his explanation of everything that she had discovered., or take the easy route with Cooper. Though Cooper was a great guy and things with him would be comfortable, Emma couldn't help but feel as though there was something in Gavin that called to her. But can she possibly make the choice to walk away from either one of the Kingsley brothers?

I really enjoyed getting more of each of these characters. I loved them all for different reasons, and of course I definitely had my side chosen before starting this book. That isn't to say that I didn't want each one to get their own HEA. Cooper was the sweet one and I loved that he was there for Emma no matter what. He was the unfortunate one that had to reveal his brother's secret to Emma, and I felt bad for him for much of this story. Gavin was the darker one, but there was so much more to him than you first see. He cared about Emma so much, and I felt for him and all that he had been through. I also felt for Emma though, she truly didn't want to hurt anyone here and yet it was obvious where her heart was. She knew that there was only one man for her, and she also knew that someone was going to get hurt though it was the last thing she ever wanted to do. The chemistry and connection here though were undeniable and I really believe that things went how they should here.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and the conclusion to Emma's story. I definitely can't wait for more in this series though and to see more of the sexy Kingsley brothers. The man not chosen here is definitely one that I am looking forward to, and I can't wait to see what Kendall Ryan has in store for him. The ending of this book set things up perfectly for the next installment and I am already anxious for more. If you like things on the steamy side, this series is one I recommend checking out. Kendall Ryan is a great writer and this series is shaping up to be one of my favorites from her.

ARC Review: Dirty Little Secret by Kendall Ryan

I have become a huge fan of Kendall Ryan's over the years, enjoying many of her books. So when I saw that she had a new series coming out, I couldn't wait to read it. I loved the sound of this blurb though, and this is one I have been itching to get my hands on since I first heard about it. I enjoyed it from start to finish and couldn't put it down! For some reason I had missed that this had a cliffhanger though, and I am dying for the next one now!

Gavin's childhood was one that had him and his brothers determined to find success. They started a business together doing what they knew best and it has made them very rich in the process. He finds himself drawn to Emma, but he knows that he is wrong for her and that she deserves better. When the two start to really get to know one another though, things become complicated as Gavin and Emma realize that there is more than attraction between them.

I really liked the characters in this book! Kendall Ryan always creates such sexy and alpha heroes, and I loved getting to know Gavin and his brothers a bit here! They are all really easy to fall for and you can't help but want more of them. I loved them all, and I am already anxious for more of one of them in particular. They ooze sex appeal and make you want to be the heroine of the story. Emma was easy to like and I felt like she was just a sweet and genuine heroine. She seemed real and down to earth, comforting those around her. She was one of those characters that it just felt like everyone was drawn to effortlessly and I thing that she was so good with Gavin.

Overall, I don't want to give too much away but I loved the characters and the story here and after that ending, I definitely need the next one! I think readers are going to love this book just like I did and this is definitely one of my favorites from Kendall to date. Kendall Ryan knows how to draw the reader in and captivate them until the very last word, and Dirty Little Secret had me from the very first page. Sexy, sweet and full of truths yet to be revealed, this book had me guessing from the start. I look forward to the next book in this series as well as getting to know the secondary characters better as this series continues. If you are a fan of Kendall's, you are going to want to pick this one up and if you are new to her books this is one worth taking a chance on.

ARC Review: Sexy Stranger by Kendall Ryan

Every time I see a new book by Kendall Ryan, I immediately add it to my TBR. She is a great author and I always enjoy her stories. Sexy Stranger is no exception, and I think fans of hers are going to love this one. I had a great time reading this enemies to lovers romance story.

On a trip across the country, Charlotte's car breaks down in a small town. While Luke knows she doesn't belong there, he can't help but want to keep her around for awhile. Luke once had his heart broken by a city girl, so he knows that when Charlotte leaves that will be the end. But when they grow closer, he can't help but wonder what would happen if she stayed. But can he let go of the past to have a chance at a future, and can she stay in a place she never imagined as long as she has Luke?

I liked these two a lot. They didn't start off the best, but I loved that! They had so much chemistry and tension between them that you knew it was going to explode at some point. Luke and Charlotte's banter had me not wanting to put this one down, and I couldn't get enough. Both Luke and Charlotte had some issues that threatened to hold them back, but I thought that they were perfect for each other. They were sweet and sexy, and seeing their relationship grow stronger was something I really enjoyed.

Overall, another great book from Kendall Ryan. I enjoyed it a lot and it kept me interested from start to finish. It had everything I look for in an entertaining read, with both sweet and steamy scenes, and some really good banter and chemistry. This was a light and fun read, and was exactly what I was looking for to escape for a few hours. If you like contemporary romance, Kendall Ryan is an author that I highly recommend. I already can't wait to see what she writes next.

ARC Review: The Room Mate by Kendall Ryan

I've got to admit that I am a huge fan of Kendall Ryan's, but I don't typically enjoy books where the hero is younger than the heroine. Usually I struggle with them for whatever reason, but there are a few exceptions to that. Luckily, that wasn't the case here and I ended up enjoying this one a lot. It was fun and sexy, and one that I didn't want to put down.

The last time that Paige saw her best friend's younger brother Cannon was when he was young and a dork. But he has grown up, and finds himself in need of a place to stay. With a spare room, Paige quickly becomes the solution to Cannon's problem. Cannon is fresh off a messy breakup, and with his skills in bed women seem to fall at his feet. But Paige knows there is no way that she can or should fall for him. Except when she sets out to prove him wrong and have a little fun all at one time, she quickly realizes that she never should have bet against Cannon.

I really liked these characters. Paige and Cannon were sexy and flirty, and I loved the heat between them. The chemistry was strong, but it was based on so much more than just attraction. These two had a great connection and I really liked that there was some history there too. This book was a ton of fun to read, and so much of that was because I felt invested in these characters and like I could relate to them. They fit together really well, and I liked that while Cannon might have been younger in age he was definitely more demanding that you might have expected. He was not the nerdy little brother anymore, and I couldn't get enough of him.

The one thing that bothered me here though and what kept me from rating this one higher was Paige's best friend/Cannon's sister Allie. I felt like she was ridiculous when it came to Cannon, beyond over protective and not a very good friend. The way she reacted to these two being together just kind of blew my mind, and honestly made it really tough to like her. I couldn't believe that she really cared about these two when she acted the way she did and it kind of soured things for me on the whole. I still really liked Cannon and Paige, but Allie sort of tainted their story and I wish that she wouldn't have been the way she was. Besides Allie though, this book is good and one that I would recommend. I look forward to reading more from Kendall Ryan in the future, and I think fans of hers will really enjoy The Room Mate.

ARC Review: The Fix Up by Kendall Ryan

The Fix Up is a spin-off of Kendall Ryan's Hitched series, but it is a standalone story. If you have read the Hitched series, you will recognize Sterling and Camryn as Noah and Olivia's best friends. I enjoyed this story a lot, and Sterling was super sexy. While you do not need to read the Hitched series first, for full enjoyment I would recommend it.

Sterling and Camryn know each other through their best friends Olivia and Noah. While they know each other on the surface, it isn't until Sterling learns that he is set to inherit millions that they two begin to spend much time together. While Sterling is the British bad boy, Camryn is looking for a relationship and the one she can settle down with. But he knows that he needs Camryn's help if he ever hopes to go from being a bachelor to a husband. As they spend more time together, the attraction between them grows and they soon realize that they have more in common than they thought. But can Sterling and Camryn turn their growing connection into forever?

I liked Sterling and Camryn. Sterling was so hot and sexy, and everything you expect from a British hero. I loved him right away in the Hitched series and loved getting to know him better. Camryn was easy to like and I felt like she was easy to relate to. The connection between them was one I enjoyed seeing grow, and it felt real and genuine despite the crazy circumstances going on surrounding them. Their chemistry was off the charts, and these two seemed perfect for one another when you might not think so at first glance.

The one thing I will say is that I felt there were some unrealistic things that happened here and that is what kept me from rating this story higher. I still enjoyed the story and the characters, I just felt some of what happened wasn't entirely believable. If you are a fan of Kendall's, this is one you will want to pick up. It was sexy and fun, yet also had enough emotion to keep the reader invested all the way through. If you haven't read anything by Kendall Ryan before, I definitely recommend giving her a shot.

ARC Review: Hitched: Volume Three by Kendall Ryan

Hitched: Volume Three is the third and final installment in the Imperfect Love series by Kendall Ryan. This is not a standalone story and should only be read if you have read the previous two installments as it continues the story of Olivia and Noah. Volume Three picks up after the events of the second installment, and I have to admit that I was a bit worried about where things would go as I wasn't entirely on board with Noah after his actions at the end of Volume Two. For me, Noah has been the star of this series, so for him to do what he did at the end of the last book was something that I struggled with. Unfortunately while he did recover here and this was the weakest installment in the series.

Like I said, Noah has been the star of this series for me and honestly if it wasn't for him I would have probably given up on this one. Noah is easy to love, and it was so refreshing to see a nice guy that was sweet and patient. He was willing to win Olivia over and do what it took to show her that they could be so much more. He was thoughtful and besides his momentary lapse of judgement at the end of Volume Two, I can honestly say that he is one of the best heroes I have read. But Olivia for me was harder to warm up to. She was a bit frustrating throughout this entire series, and while she did finally start to come around here I still felt like she wasn't able to fully recover from how much she pushed Noah away.

While I really wanted to see how things would end here and I was glad that these two were able to figure things out, I felt like this book was a lot of filler. Not a lot happened, and some of the things that did were a bit too unbelievable and anticlimactic for me. Olivia's idea to save the day for the company was one that seemed completely unrealistic to me, and it just felt as though Kendall Ryan lost steam here and ran out of ideas. The first installment was my favorite and things seemed to sort of go downhill with each new installment released in this series. While it was still a good story overall, I can't help but think that this one was just okay as a whole. Had Kendall Ryan kept up the momentum from the Volume One, I think that this one could have been one of my favorites. If you have read the previous two volumes, you are definitely going to want to read this one for the conclusion to Noah and Olivia's story. I think that if you haven't read this series yet, that it is still a good story and is worth checking out if it sounds like something you would like. While it wasn't my favorite series from Kendall Ryan, Noah is definitely worth the read and I think that readers will love him just as much as I did.

ARC Review: Hitched: Volume Two by Kendall Ryan

Hitched: Volume Two is the second book in the Imperfect Love series by Kendall Ryan. This book picks up right after the events of Hitched: Volume One and needs to be read in order. If you haven't already read the first installment, you will need to start there as these cannot stand alone. I couldn't wait to find out what would happen next after that cliffhanger, and I really loved getting more of Noah and Olivia and I can't wait to see how this series finishes after this one.

Olivia has just left Noah at the altar when we start Volume Two of Hitched, and Kendall Ryan doesn't make us wait long to see why. Noah is still on a mission to get Olivia to marry him and he knows that they need to have a child together to fulfill the terms of the contract. But as these two spend more time together things start to change between them and it is clear that it is becoming more real and less of a business arrangement.

For me, Noah is the star of this series and honestly I just really love his character. He is sweet and sexy, and completely irresistible. I can't get enough of him, and the more I get to know him the more I like him. It was so clear here that things are really changing between these two, and especially for Noah. He was so sweet with Olivia here with everything going on, and you could really tell that he is starting to feel more for her. Olivia had her moments here where she was a bit frustrating, but she continues to be the strong and capable heroine that I really liked in the first book. It was great to see her beginning to let Noah in more though, and I liked seeing her become more open to the idea of something between them. Noah also had a few moments here though, and I hope that their communication gets a bit better in the next installment.

Overall, I am enjoying this series a lot and I can't wait to see what happens next. Kendall Ryan is a great writer and she knows how to keep readers turning pages and anxious for more. This one is sexy and sweet, and I recommend giving this one a shot if you are a fan of contemporary romance.

ARC Review: Hitched: Volume 1 by Kendall Ryan

I couldn't wait to dive into this one! The blurb sounded amazing and I really enjoy Kendall Ryan's books. This is the first installment in the Imperfect Love series, and it does end with a cliffhanger. After reading this first volume of Hitched, I can't wait for more!

Noah and Olivia grew up together and their parents have practically been planning their life together since they were born. But after Noah's father dies and Olivia's father announces his retirement, they realize that in order to take over the company their fathers built they will need to marry one another. But Olivia hates Noah, and he knows that it will take everything he has to convince her to give them a chance and save the company. If that wasn't bad enough, they soon discover that they will have to produce an heir as well.

really enjoyed this first installment. It was sexy and sweet, and I am loving the chemistry between Noah and Olivia! These two have so much attraction between them, and it is clear that they are definitely starting to build something together. They have more in common than they first realized, and I loved seeing Noah pursue Olivia. There were some really great moments between them, and I was so glad that these two were able to start connecting on an emotional level as well here.

Overall, a great first installment and after that ending I need to know what happens next! I am really looking forward to seeing the next installment in Olivia and Noah's story and I enjoyed Hitched: Volume 1 a lot. This is shaping up to be one of my favorites from Kendall Ryan, and I am anxious to get my hands on Hitched: Volume 2. Even though cliffhangers aren't my favorite thing in the world, this one was definitely worth the read and I think that it is worth checking out! If you are a fan of Kendall Ryan's, this is everything that I have come to love from her and I think you will really enjoy it. If you are new to Kendall Ryan, this is a great story to start with and it really highlights what a talented writer she is. I highly recommend this sexy story and will be on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what happens next.

ARC Review: Wednesday by Kendall Ryan

I was really excited when I saw that Kendall Ryan had a new best friends to lovers standalone story coming out and I couldn't wait to read it! Wednesday is not your typical friends to lovers story and there was a lot that I liked here. This one was really short though, and I did feel like the story suffered a bit because of the length.

Chloe has been in love with her best friend Shaw for years. But they have only ever been friends, a status that was solidified when he got married. But when Shaw's wife is killed in an accident, Shaw copes the only way he knows how...by using Chloe. He comes to her every Wednesday and they have sex, but that is all he gives her. Chloe hopes that by helping him heal that one day he will realize that there is so much more between them. But with each Wednesday that passes, Chloe knows that she needs more and by asking him for it she knows that she risks losing him altogether.

I really wanted to love these characters, and there were times that I did like them. These two had a ton of chemistry and a lot of history. Having been best friends since childhood, the connection between them was already there and I felt like they fit well together. But most of this book, Shaw was a jerk and Chloe came off as a doormat. While I saw their friendship and the chemistry between them, the romantic connection was one I struggled with. I felt like we just didn't get the depth or development to really find it fully believable. I wanted to see that change from friends to more, and I felt like while they were connecting physically that was pretty much all it was until the very end here. Shaw was too closed off the entire story to really see anything more happen between these two than straight up sex. I wanted to see the feelings change and grow, and I just felt like we missed that here.

Overall, this book was really hot! If you are looking for something short and steamy, Wednesday definitely has that. But if you are looking for a bit more with your heat, this one might come up a bit short. I think that Kendall Ryan is a great writer, and I enjoy her stories a lot. But I wanted more here and I felt like there was so much promise that just wasn't fully delivered on. Shaw and Chloe were great for one another, and I wanted to see them transition into a believable couple since it was clear that they always had feelings for one another. I think that had this one been a bit longer, it could have been a four or five star read that I really loved. This won't be the last I read from Kendall Ryan though, and I recommend giving her books a shot if you haven't already.
