Guest Post with Author Robin Bielman and Giveaway

Please welcome one of my favorite people, author, Robin Bielman  I <3 Robin and I'm so glad to have her come by to chat about her new release, Risky Surrender.

Robin Bielman lives in Southern California, a bike ride away from the ocean if she’s feeling really adventurous. She loves books and baking and running on the treadmill while watching her favorite TV shows. When she’s not reading or writing her next story, she’s spending time with her high school sweetheart husband and two sons, most likely watching, playing, or discussing baseball. She drives too fast, drinks too much caffeine, and if every day were Cupcake Day, she’d be a happy camper! She loves to connect with readers.

Hey everyone! It’s Dani’s birthday today! *throws confetti* So the first thing we need to do is sing…

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Dani, happy birthday to you! And many mooooore!

I’m super happy to be here today to celebrate Dani’s big day and the latest release in my Take a Risk series from Entangled Publishing, RISKY SURRENDER. To mark this double occasion, I thought I’d do something fun and different and add a special giveaway for Ramblings From This Chick readers only.

Have you all heard of Mad Libs? It’s a game where one person prompts another for a list of words to substitute for blanks in a story. Usually a prompt – such as noun, adverb or adjective – is supplied because the person giving the words isn’t reading the story. In my version here, I thought I’d do a little variation on this popular game and ask you to fill in words to an excerpt from RISKY SURRENDER. You don’t have to have read the book to play along. You can guess what word goes in the blank. List your words in the comments and I’ll be popping by to say hi and maybe throw a few hints out. Everyone who comments will be entered into a giveaway for a 6-pack of cupcakes from Crumbs Bake Shop delivered right to your front door! What goes better with a birthday than cupcakes, right? (Note: Crumbs delivers to the 48 contiguous states only. They do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii or out of the country. If an international winner is selected, I’ll give away a gift card to his or her favorite online store.)

Ready to play? Here we go…

The fact that Lucy came back meant something, right?

McCall feigned sleep when she eased open the sliding glass door and _________ back to her room. Despite the clench of every muscle in his body, he was relieved to see her. The digital clock on the nightstand read five thirty-two. He’d noted her absence at three forty-five when for some reason he needed to check on her.

When she padded by him in pajama shorts and a tank top to use the bathroom, his damn libido forgave her before he even ___________. Her long legs, perfect ass, and sculpted arms teased him into dismissing her agenda.

No doubt she’d been up to no good.

He pushed himself up.

A minute later she crept by him again, her attention on the floor. Which made the jutting out of his arm that much sweeter.

Something sounding like ___________ spilled from her mouth. He couldn’t be sure because he’d stood, brought her into his arms, and her mint breath short-circuited his brain.

“McCall!”

That he understood. “Yeah?”

“Let me go.” She ____________ against him.

He flipped on the bedside lamp. He could get used to this wiggling of hers. “So you can sneak back out?”

Her body stilled. Seconds of silence dragged between them. In the dim light of the room her eyes twinkled with _____________. “I told you I had things to do.”

Being so close to her, the last thing he wanted to do was talk. But until he knew for sure what the glow on her face was about he’d keep his distance.

“Okay.” He sat back on the bed, willing to let her win this round. She couldn’t have gone far without a ___________, could she?

She wrapped her arms around herself. “Quit looking at me like that.”

“How am I looking at you?”

“Like I’ve been dipped in a caramel chocolate swirl.” She stared at him in fascination. Her chest rose and fell. Heat entered her eyes, no mistake about it.

He stood. “My favorite.”

She took a big step back and put her hand up. “That wasn’t an invitation.”

“What was it then?” He stopped just shy of her palm.

“I don’t know. I’m half asleep and can’t be held responsible for the __________ words coming out of my mouth.”

He couldn’t help it. His gaze dipped to his favorite part of her anatomy—her mouth. One kiss. One kiss and he could stop fantasizing about what she’d taste like.

Thanks for filling in the blanks everyone! Remember to list your words in the comments for a chance to win cupcakes in addition to my tour wide giveaway. =)

How about one more birthday shout out to Dani? Happy Birthday Dani!! Best wishes for a wonderful year!

Archeologist Lucy Davenport made a promise to retrieve an elusive piece of history buried in the walls of an iconic Indian village. But when she draws unwanted attention that interferes with her plans, she’s forced to risk it all with a man who threatens not only her goal, but the walls she’s carefully constructed around her heart.

Keats McCall is an environmental preservationist navigating the globe on behalf of heritage protection. When he catches Lucy at his latest project, he suspects she’s up to something. She’s secretive, sexy as hell – and has trouble written all over her. He devises a plan to keep her close so he can keep an eye on her. But what he isn’t prepared for is just how close he wants to get.
