ARC Review: Behind Your Back by Chelsea M. Cameron

I honestly don't even really know what to say about Behind Your Back by Chelsea M. Cameron. I have read and loved books by her in the past, but this book wasn't anything like those at all. I am still trying to figure out exactly what I think about this one, but suffice it to say I am all over the place. While I found some things interesting and wanted to keep reading to see what would happen next, there were also several times that I wanted to just throw in the towel. Readers should be aware that this is the first book in the series and does end with a cliffhanger, so there are plenty of things left unresolved.

Behind Your Back starts with Quinn Brand trying to get close to his newest mark. He sees that his weak spot is his daughter, and plans to exploit that. Quinn sets out to meet her, but things don't go as easily as he thought they would. After he finally meets her though, he quickly realizes that things aren't going to go as well as he thought that they would and he finds himself drawn to her in ways he never expected. But he still has a job to do and is determined to do whatever it takes.

I didn't really feel connected to either of these characters, and honestly it was really tough for me to get into this one. While I was interested to figure some things out, I felt like this story took far too long to get there. For the first 30-50% nothing happened, and there were so many details that I found myself completely bored. I kept wanting to skim or just give up on this book because I honestly did not care at all what would happen. It was literally all about Quinn's boring job of meeting with clients and what he was wearing (brand names, colors, etc.), what he was doing after work and his cat Leo. Then it would be the next day and would repeat all over again. I did like Quinn with his cat and felt that it showed a bit more of his humanity, as did his time with his sister, but otherwise I honestly didn't need as many details with everything going on in his life. I wish that there would have been more happening, because for that first 30-50% of this book I was really confused about a lot. Each time I would think that the story was going to pick up, it wouldn't and I would be disappointed all over again and forced to suffer through more details.

I will say that I am curious to see how things will play out, and I will read the sequel because at this point I need to know what happens. The end to me was a little predictable though and I honestly saw a lot of it coming. I do want answers though and I am sure that not everything is as it seems. So while I will read Back to Back, I am not sure that I would have started this series knowing what I know now. If you are a fan of Chelsea M. Cameron's you might find this one enjoyable, and her writing style is beautiful as always. There were parts that I genuinely enjoyed. But if you are expecting the same type of thing from her, this book isn't like anything of hers that I have previously read. This one was slow and drawn out, but if you can handle a ton of details it might be worth giving a shot.

ARC Review: Deep Surrendering Episode 6 by Chelsea M. Cameron

Deep Surrendering Episode 6 is the latest installment in Chelsea M. Cameron's Deep Surrendering Serial. Chelsea is releasing one installment a month, and when the story is complete she has said that the episodes will equal about two full novels. These installments are not standalones, and should only be read in order. I highly recommend that you start at the beginning if you are going to read these, and beware that each ends with a cliffhanger as they are part of a serial. While it is frustrating to only get a small portion of this story at a time, I think that Chelsea has done a great job of keeping the reader interested from episode to episode without the reader giving up. Episode 6 picks up right where the previous installment left off with Fin and Marisol still apart. Fin and Marisol while having agreed to be together exclusively even while apart are struggling with the separation and distance between them. As they try to speak with each other as often as possible, it becomes harder the more that their schedules fill up. While Fin and Marisol continue to get to know one another, Marisol still struggles with not knowing about Fin's past. She also must deal with how dedicated Fin is to the business and doing what his father asks of him. While Marisol loves Fin and wants to have a future with him, she begins to wonder if staying with his is in her best interest and if he will really choose her if the time comes when he is forced to choose between her and his father.

I will admit that this episode was harder to get through than the last few have been for me. While I still really like Fin and Marisol, this one didn't have the same feel that the previous episodes have had. They are apart at this point, and you really begin to feel the distance between them. Marisol is focusing on her friends and her daily life while hoping to be able to spend a little time talking with Fin each night. You can really see the exhaustion starting to set in for both of them as they try to fit each other in to their busy lives. They really do care about one another and are running themselves ragged trying to make things work between them. I felt like we really got to see more of Fin's sweet side in this installment, and I liked that he was doing what he could to show Marisol that she was on his mind and that he cared about her. I liked their new way of getting to know each other by telling each other things that no one else knew about them, but I did miss their exchange of action for a secret. I wanted to see more of Fin's past and how that continues to affect his present and ability to have a relationship with Marisol. I felt like while we did get a bit more of what he likes and what makes him Fin, that we really didn't gain much in this installment. I was hoping for more of them and I feel like this one didn't have that.

I will admit that with this episode, I felt like the focus was too much on Marisol and her friends. She was struggling and going through a lot with her insecurities and fears about where things were headed for their relationship. But I really missed seeing their interactions and felt like this one lacked the connection and chemistry that they have always had. I wanted to see more of the progress of them as a couple, and I don't feel like this episode allowed for much growth or development. I did like the very end of this episode though, and I am so excited to see what happens next! I really don't want to wait to see where things go from here, but I was loving what Chelsea set us up for. I really hope that we get more of Fin and Marisol in the next portion and less of their lives apart from one another. I felt like we had just been making progress for these two and that this episode sort of stalled out for the time being. This one to me just felt like more filler than anything, and I was looking for more. I think if this wasn't the whole installment but had been included in a full length novel that it would have been fine. But when you wait for each installment to release, by the time you get that part of the story you are looking for something substantial rather than just the day to day of what is going on and their interactions with the secondary characters. I really do like this series though, and I have enjoyed Fin and Marisol's journey to this point. I will continue to read their story and see where things lead for them next. I highly recommend these if you are a fan of Chelsea's and if you don't mind the nature of a serial with installments released once a month. Fin and Marisol's story is far from over and I can't wait to get more of these two and see what awaits them next.

ARC Review: Deep Surrendering: Episode 5 by Chelsea M. Cameron

Deep Surrendering Episode 5 picks up where Chelsea M. Cameron last left us with Fin and Marisol separated for the first time. With thousands of miles between them, and weeks left before they will be together they are both struggling with the distance. Fin and Marisol try to talk as often as possible, but with the time differences and everything going on in their lives they only get brief moments of time in which they actually connect. Marisol copes the best she can by spending time with her friends, working, and occasionally using the key that Fin gave her to spend time in his apartment. Fin is busy working, and as each day goes by Marisol fears that he is not sleeping or eating well. Marisol tries to convince Fin to be healthier and to take care of himself in her absence. But Fin is also struggling with his feelings for Marisol and he doesn't know how to handle things between them.

Fin and Marisol really have their toughest battles yet ahead of them, but for the first time in their relationship things are completely uncertain. With them being so far apart things are a lot harder and they are left in unfamiliar territory. Fin has never felt these kinds of feelings for someone before, and we know at this point that he doesn't usually have sex with the women he dates. Marisol has really changed so much about how he operates that he is still trying to figure out how to proceed. It doesn't help that Fin still feels like Marisol shouldn't be with him and that his darkness is too much for her. He doesn't want her to care for him and yet he also craves her. It was hard to see him struggle so much in this one, and you could really feel the depth of his insecurities. Marisol was also struggling with missing Fin and knowing that she couldn't be with him to help him and comfort him. It was hard for her to see the changes in him as the dark circles under his eyes took over. He was clearly exhausted and she couldn't do anything about it. Marisol really has her work cut out for her in the future because of Fin's attitude towards her caring about him. He almost refuses to acknowledge her feelings and doesn't even want her to say them to him. The chemistry and sex is great between them, and they are really starting to form an emotional connection as well. But there are so many secrets and obstacles that they have to deal with yet, and I just know that although it will be worth it in the end it will be so much worse before it starts to get better. I hope that they can both hold on and learn to lean on each other rather than try to go it alone.

I am really loving this story, and Fin and Marisol are so much different than any other characters I have read. They have changed and grown so much over these last 5 episodes, and I know that there is still so much ahead of them. I love how Chelsea M. Cameron is really giving us the evolution of not only their relationship but of each of the characters as well. I loved that Fin was a bit more vulnerable in this one and that for the first time we really get to see this strong and tough man that is used to control really having to deal with his insecurities and feelings. I thought it was great how he was making an effort with Marisol and would send her pictures and try to include her in what he was doing. I honestly think that each episode of this story just gets better and better, and I can't wait to get more. It kills me having to wait, but each one I read just proves to me how worth it they are. I am a fan of Chelsea M. Cameron's after having read several of her books at this point, but I think that Fin and Marisol's story is probably my favorite of everything she has done. If you aren't reading these, you are seriously missing out. Chelsea's writing style is fantastic, and her characters are always unique. I highly recommend her books, and I will be anxiously awaiting the next installment in Fin and Marisol's story.

ARC Review: Unwritten by Chelsea M. Cameron

I have become a fan of Chelsea M. Cameron's after reading a few of her books now, and I was really excited to read Unwritten. I really liked the blurb and cover, and I couldn't wait to read about a librarian and author heroine. This book was really good, and I really enjoyed the story. While it had the same writing style I have come to know and love from Chelsea M. Cameron, this one had a different feel to it than other stories of hers that I have read. I really liked how fresh and different this story was, and I couldn't put it down.

Blair Walton is a tattooed children's librarian by day and one half of the romance writing duo that goes by the pen name of Scarlet Rose at night. Her writing partner is her best friend Raine, and the only people that know their identity are a select few in the industry. When they start struggling to complete their latest deadline, Raine suggests that Blair ask the sexy dad of one of the kids from the library out on a date. She thinks that the sexy Brit could be just the one to use for research and help them finish their story faster. Blair disagrees at first, but finds it harder to deny that she wants to be with Declan. When Declan asks her out on a date, Blair agrees and they instantly hit it off. Blair decides to keep seeing him but refuses to use anything from their relationship for their book. Soon things are heating up between them, but Blair isn't the only one that has been keeping secrets.

I really loved Declan. He was really sweet and he was so open and honest about how their relationship was. He didn't let Blair think that things were more serious than they were, and I was really glad that he didn't lead her on. Declan was also a great father, and he was so cute with Drake. I loved their relationship, and it was clear how much he loved him and was committed to making him his top priority. Declan was also really smart, and I was really amazed how he was able to balance work with classes and being a single father. I have to say that the way he was always there for Blair and how he got her books with flower names instead of flowers was absolutely perfect. He really knew her and did a great job showing her that she was special. Blair was a great heroine, and I loved that she was so unique from any other characters that I have read before. She was true to herself and didn't let others or their opinions dictate any part of her life. I liked her a lot, and she was just one of those cool chicks that you would want to hang out with. I thought that Blair and Declan had great chemistry and worked together really well. But I loved their emotional connection the most and the best part was how much Blair also cared about Declan's son Drake. She loved him right off and she didn't even have to try and like him or make him fit in.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It was definitely one of my favorites of Chelsea's and I really recommend this one. I did have a few issues with this book, and that is the only reason this one wasn't a five star read for me. I felt the ending was a bit rushed and abrupt, and I would have liked more. I also felt like the majority of this book focused on Raine and Blair's writing and the stuff going on in Blair's life rather than Declan and Blair's relationship. I wish that we would have seen a bit more of them together and how their feelings were developing. I also thought that while their was definite heat and attraction between them, this one didn't have the amount of steam that Chelsea's books usually do. Most of their physical activity was alluded to or faded to black, and I would have loved to have got more of that too. I still think that this book was really great despite those things though, and I just loved Declan, Blair and Drake. This one is a must read for Chelsea's fans and I think that contemporary fans will also really enjoy the story. This one had NA aged characters, but I really felt like they were more mature and acted beyond their years. This book is hard to really put in just one genre, and I think that romance fans should definitely give it a shot. I look forward to reading more from Chelsea in the future and can't wait to see what she writes next.

ARC Review: Deep Surrendering Episode 3 by Chelsea M. Cameron

Deep Surrendering Episode 3 by Chelsea M. Cameron continues Fin and Marisol's story as they grow closer despite Fin leaving soon. Fin has held up his end of the deal and gives Marisol a secret every time they have sex. They continue to date as well as explore the physical side of their relationship and both of them are experiencing feelings that they have never felt before. Fin is still struggling with showing his darker side to Mari, but he also is beginning to want to have more with her than he usually is able to handle. Mari is accepting of Fin's darker side and even enjoys it, but she knows the deadline on their relationship is approaching and is scared of what will happen to them then. As they enjoy the time they have together and they continue to develop stronger feelings for one another, is it possible for them to have a future together or will their relationship end in heartbreak for them both?

I really enjoyed this installment in Fin and Mari's story. Fin is opening up to Mari more every day, and he is exploring his sweet side as well as the dark side. I liked that he and Mari are able to be open with one another and that instead of running Fin has started to talk to Mari. He is able to show Mari the darkest parts of himself and even if she struggles with it, they deal with it together. Fin is still particular about how they can have sex and the circumstances of them being physical, but he is becoming more open and is willing to try to give Mari more after she has done the same for him. I liked seeing him open up to her more about his past, and we do get to learn more about why he is through his secrets. I really loved seeing him be so sweet and thoughtful with Mari though. He plans dates for her that show how much he is always thinking about her and how much he is starting to care for her. They continue to be super hot and sexy together, but they are also developing a much stronger emotional connection as well. I liked seeing them be more playful together and have a bit of fun as well.

I am really enjoying this serial, and with each installment it just gets better and better. I know that a lot of people are hesitant to start serials until they are finished because of cliffhangers, and these installments all end with a cliffhanger. But honestly these episodes are really good and are worth the read. Fin and Mari continue to grow on me with each installment, and I can't wait to see where Chelsea M. Cameron is taking them. I wish that these were being released quicker, but that is just because I am impatient and I want more of the characters. I would definitely recommend this serial to anyone who likes their romance to have depth and be extremely steamy. These installments are hot, but they also show so much growth as Fin and Mari navigate their feelings and the new circumstances they find themselves in. I can't wait for the next episode, and to see what happens for these two next.

ARC Review: Deep Surrendering Episode 4 by Chelsea M. Cameron

In Deep Surrendering Episode 4 by Chelsea M. Cameron, we are approaching the last few days before Fin is set to leave Marisol for two months. For the first time since they began seeing each other, they are seeing sex differently. Marisol and Fin's relationship has been progressing with each day they spend together, and while both want more than they ever have before Fin still struggles with having sex any differently than he normally does. For Marisol though he wants to try to take the first step in doing things with her that he hasn't done before with anyone else. But with so little time left before he leaves, can they find their way back to the same page and cement their connection before they are separated?

Fin is really starting to open up to Marisol at this point and he continues to do more in every installment. For the first time we see him try to have sex with Marisol face to face, and it is clearly a struggle for him. He was trying so hard and I felt so badly for him because it was really tough for him to even give it a shot. Marisol was so patient and kind with him, and I was glad to see that she was looking out for him even when he would have done more than he would have been comfortable with. Their feelings have grown so much that they are both able to read each other well at this point, and I really liked that she put a stop to things when he needed it. Fin and Marisol also were able to make a promise to each other to not see others while he was away, and they both didn't seem to have any problems making that agreement. It really shows just how far they have come, and I liked that they both wanted to take that next step. Fin and Marisol grew so much closer in this episode, and I liked that they both had things for each other to keep while they are apart.

I never enjoy cliffhangers, and until this episode even though we have been left hanging they weren't too awful. I am really feeling this one though as they prepare to be separated for the first time since they got together, and I cannot wait to find out what happens next for them. Fin and Marisol have really captured my attention, and I have really become invested in them and their story. They are so real and believable, and their flaws and insecurities make them that much more endearing to the reader. I need to know how they will get through things being apart, and I am sure that they will have their troubles ahead. But I have loved watching them grow and develop feelings for one another, and I have faith that Chelsea M. Cameron will get them where they need to go. I highly recommend this serial and I think that this one is definitely worth the read. These episodes are filled with steam and heat but also have their light and sweet moments. I have really enjoyed seeing the fun and playful sides of these characters as well and will be anxiously awaiting the next episode.

ARC Review: Slowly We Trust by Chelsea M. Cameron

Slowly We Trust is the third book in Chelsea M. Cameron's Rise and Fall series. This book can be read as a standalone, but does have interconnected characters. I had not read the previous two books in the series before reading this one and even though I didn't know the characters previously, I had no problem understanding this one. I am interested to go back and read the first two books though after having read about them in this story. I really liked Audrey and Will's group of friends, and I am interested to get to know them better and see how some of them ended up together. While I really enjoyed their group, this book did leave me with some mixed feelings. There were things that I really liked about this story, and then there were a few things that I didn't care for.

Audrey never intended to fall for Will, but once she got to know him there was no stopping it. Audrey has things in her past that she hasn't told anyone and because of that she thinks that she needs to push him away. But the more that she tries to stay away from him, the harder it gets. Will is heartbroken when Audrey says that they need to just be friends, but he would rather have her as a friend than nothing at all. The more that they continue to run into each other though, the harder it gets to stay apart. Will and Audrey both love each other, but there are still many things that stand in their way. Will is determined to be whatever Audrey needs as long as he gets to stay in her life. Audrey knows how Will feels and when things between them continue to get stronger she decides to give a relationship between them a chance. Will knows that there are things in Audrey's past that she hasn't told him, but he continues to tell her that it won't make a difference in how he feels about her. Audrey isn't so sure though, and she has a hard time trusting because of her past and family. Can Audrey really open up to Will and give their relationship a chance? Or will her past continue to affect her future?

I really liked Will. He was such a different hero, and I found him absolutely adorable. He was sweet and kind, patient and understanding. He was the most committed and loving hero that I have read about maybe ever. He never wavered in his devotion to Audrey, even when she was pushing him away. I honestly felt like her let her get away with too much sometimes though, and I really wanted him to stand his ground a bit more. He really did love her though and it was clear that she was the only one for him. I loved how he was such a lovable nerd though, and his Star Wars obsession was really cute. I will admit to being frustrated with Audrey several times in this book. I liked her and she was really smart and funny, but she definitely had issues. I really wanted to see her open up and trust Will more. Eventually she realized that she could talk to him, and she did start to open up to him. However she had said that she wasn't going to tell him everything, and she didn't until she was basically forced to. That bothered me, and I felt like she really never made that decision to be completely honest with him. I felt like Will deserved better than that, and it really made it hard for me to fully connect with Audrey because of that. I understand that she had been through a lot and had some issues because of her family, but Will never gave her any reason to doubt him and I really thought that she should have given him the whole truth by her choice. I did like that she was such a huge Harry Potter fan though, and I liked that she was a bit of a nerd also. I thought that her and Will really fit because they understood the other's quirks and really made it a point of supporting the other and their interests. Will and Audrey had great chemistry also, and you could tell just how much they were attracted to each other and couldn't keep their hands off the other.

I did think that this book was a rather slow though. I had a tough time getting through this one, and it didn't hold my interest like some of Chelsea's other books. I felt like the first third of the book was extremely slow and even though it picked up after that, it was mostly Audrey's journey or Audrey and Will having sex. Audrey did make a lot of progress from the beginning of the book to the end, but it was done in a way that I had to put the book down and walk away for awhile rather than keep flipping the pages to find out what was next. I also felt like Audrey was frustrating a lot of the times, but Will's sister Lottie was also really annoying at times as well. For the first third to half of the book Lottie was torn between her friend Audrey and her twin Will, and I couldn't tell half the time if she was trying to get them together or keep them apart. She was really annoying and frankly I thought she interfered far too much. I wanted her to go away, and honestly I didn't like her at all. She got better towards the end of the book though, and it was like she was a completely different character. I did like Audrey and Will's story despite my criticisms with the book, and I did think that they were good together. I will admit that I wasn't shocked by Audrey's big reveal though, I had it figured out early on and I am surprised that Will didn't figure it out. I think that this is a good read for NA fans that are looking for not only a love story, but also a story about personal growth and overcoming obstacles that life throws in the way sometimes. I think that a lot of NA readers will find these characters to be likable and easy to relate to. If you haven't read anything be Chelsea M. Cameron, I would recommend checking out her work. She always writes characters that are deep and complex, and are easy go get invested in. I look forward to reading more from her in the future.

ARC Review: Deep Surrendering Episode 2 by Chelsea M. Cameron

This is the second installment in Chelsea M. Cameron's Deep Surrendering Serial. According to her website, there will be approximately 12-14 episodes that will equal about two full novels when finished. These have to be read in order because the story continues from one part to another. Luckily each episode is about 100 pages, so these are easy to catch up on and are nice and quick reads. Episode 2 picks up right after the events of Episode 1, so if you haven't read that yet I would recommend reading that before continuing with this review as there will be spoilers.

After Fin ran out on Marisol again, she is left feeling hurt and vows to be done with him. He promised her that he wouldn't run again, and then he did. She goes out to dinner with her friend the next day, and runs into him. She just can't seem to escape him and he is still in her thoughts. Marisol decides that the reason that she is unable to move on is because things were never resolved between them and the abrupt nature of his exit is the problem. She is still attracted to him and wants to finish things between them. Marisol decides to have one more night with Fin in order to get him out of her systems once and for all. But will one night be enough for them?

I both love and hate Fin. He is so complex, and yet we really don't know exactly who he is. The more we see of him, the more questions there are. He is both dark and light, and seems to have multiple personalities. Some times he is commanding and is all alpha. Others he is so sweet and thoughtful, and really seems to be developing feelings for Marisol. I am enjoying getting to know him better, but I have a feeling that things are definitely going to get worse before they get better. Marisol is one of those heroines that has her moments for me. Some times she is so strong and confident, and others she seems extremely weak and is a total push-over. I really love the times that she is fun and feisty and stands up for herself. She is great with her friends, and you get to see a whole other side to her. I wish that she and Fin were able to have more of that, but you can tell that they both still have a lot of demons that need to be dealt with. Fin and Marisol are clearly attracted to each other and have a lot of chemistry. They are starting to develop feelings for each other beyond the physical though, and that is what really has me coming back for more. They are both trying to figure out what is going on between them and what it means for the future. It is good to see them starting to open up to each other and see what possibilities the future has for them.

I really ended up liking this episode better than the first. Fin and Marisol still had their moments, and I didn't like everything that happened. I loved the fact that Marisol and Fin came to an agreement that he would start to open up to her by giving her one of his secrets each night. I am really looking forward to seeing what else we don't know about him. Fin and Marisol have really started to grow on me even with their flaws and issues. I think that is one of the things I like the most is that they aren't perfect and they aren't the safest bet for a relationship. Yet together they work and seem to fit. They are both still dealing with things and there are going to be obstacles ahead for them, but you can tell that they are developing something a lot deeper than either of them have ever felt before. I can't wait to see where things go from here for them. I like that these are quick and easy to read, I just wish that there was a little less time in between the release dates for each installment. I recommend these books if you are looking for something that can be read in a short amount of time and has deep and complex characters. If you are not a fan of serials though, you might want to wait until they there are more installments released though since there are only a few chapters in each episode. Chelsea M. Cameron has a way of drawing you into the story though and making you become invested in her characters. I can't wait to see what happens with Fin and Marisol next, and will be awaiting the next episode.

ARC Review: Deep Surrendering Episode 1 by Chelsea M. Cameron

This is the first novella is the first part of Marisol and Fin's story. I was drawn in instantly and this episode was a really quick read. While there were a lot of things that I did like, I had mixed feelings about it. I will admit that I am very curious to see where things go though, and I am absolutely clueless as to what will happen from here. This one took me by complete surprise though and I am extremely anxious to get more of Fin and Marisol.

Marisol is set up with Fin by her friend Rory. Things get off to a great start, and they really seem to be having a great time. They have a good date and decide to spend more time together. But when things start to get physical, Fin instantly rushes out the door with no explanation. Just when Marisol thinks that things between them are over before they really began, Fin turns up asking for more time together. Fin doesn't explain what is going on, but instead gives just enough information to Marisol to have her worrying about what he is hiding. Fin and Marisol are drawn to each other though and they keep ending up together. After Fin's rushing off a few times though he apologizes and tells Marisol that he can't explain everything yet but that he needs to be in control of the situation. Marisol agrees to take another chance with Fin as the chemistry between them is more than they can fight. But what will happen when Fin goes back on everything again, and does exactly what he said he wouldn't do?

I am really torn about Fin's character. It is clear that he is conflicted and that there is more to him than meets the eye. Since this episode was so brief, we as readers have really only scratched the surface with the characters. Fin did make some veiled remarks about his darker side, but for the most part he is still a mystery. I really didn't like that he was constantly running so hot and cold. He was almost bipolar, and I really didn't understand what his deal was. He would be so sweet and thoughtful one minute and then absolutely cold and distant the next. It was really confusing. Marisol was sweet and far more forgiving than I would have been. I get that she was really attracted to Fin and felt a connection to him, but I didn't understand how she could just keep letting him get away with his crazy behavior. She was a bit of a doormat in this episode and that was hard for me to get behind or relate to. I loved her friendship with Chloe though, and I also really enjoyed how she would just say what was on her mind. I loved that she was able to be so honest with Fin about what she was thinking or feeling. I am curious to see what is going on with her though, because there is clearly a lot more about her that we don't know yet. I thought that Fin and Marisol had good chemistry, but I wish that it wouldn't have been doused so quickly every time that they got even close to doing something. Their physical interactions were steamy but extremely brief before Fin would freak out and ruin everything.

Overall, I am really curious to see where this goes. I will admit that this one gave me a bit of whiplash. I really don't know what to think about Fin and Marisol. At this point I am definitely intrigued with the two of them and I am committed to seeing how things play out. But in all honesty, I wish that this wasn't a serial. I feel like for some readers the push and pull will be too much for them to get past and that it will cause some to lose interest. I am hoping that we will really start to dig deeper into both of these characters with the next episode and that things will start to become more clear. I feel like the relationship that is beginning between Marisol and Fin will be interesting and believable as long as they both start opening up a bit to each other. I really enjoy Chelsea M. Cameron's writing style though, and even though I had mixed feelings about how this story is starting I couldn't put this one down. I am anxiously awaiting the next installment to see where Fin and Marisol will go next and what will happen to them. I would recommend this story if you are a fan of serials and are able to get past cliffhangers. This one definitely leaves you hanging and wanting more.
