ARC Review: No Limit by L.P. Dover

No Limit is the first book in L.P. Dover's new Armed & Dangerous series. Though this book can be read as a standalone, Jason Avery is first introduced in the Gloves Off series. It was nice to see some familiar faces from that series in this book, and I really enjoyed getting to know Jason better. L.P. Dover never disappoints, and I can't wait to see what she has in store for the next book in this series.

As one of the best undercover agents in the country, Jason Avery is sent to Las Vegas in order to try and find the person responsible for torturing and murdering countless women. Though he has found several leads, each one leads to a dead end resulting in the case taking longer for him to solve than any case he has ever been on. Not seeing progress with the case, the FBI sends in their own agent to help resolve things faster. Aylee McFadden agrees to put herself in danger in order to help others avoid a similar fate to the previous victims, but she knows that working with Jason won't be easy. They get off on the wrong foot and they spend their time together bickering and fighting each other on just about everything. But the more time they spend together, the more they start to realize that the fighting between them is a passion unlike any they have felt before. Soon Jason and Aylee are falling for one another, which makes things more complicated than ever. In order to find their suspect Aylee must put herself in a vulnerable position, but will Jason be willing to put her in danger just to solve their case?

I really liked these two. They were great right from the start, and I loved the chemistry between them. Jason was sexy and a bit cocky, but not so arrogant that he was unlikable. He was charming and confident, and I loved his personality. He was also super protective and caring once he got to know Aylee a bit, and it was impossible not to fall for him after seeing that side of him. Aylee was strong and smart, and I loved how determined she was. She was successful and willing to put herself at risk in order to help others. It made her so easy to like, and I really admired her. I enjoyed seeing Jason and Aylee banter and bicker at first, but learn to work as a team the more they got to know one another. They were great together both in and out of the bedroom and I couldn't wait to see what would happen next.

Overall, this was a great start to Dover's new series and I am really looking forward to seeing what will happen next. I love Dover's writing style, and No Limit was exactly what I have come to love and expect from a Dover novel. It was captivating and sexy, and filled with enough twists and turns to keep me guessing and unable to put it down. Dover always has the right balance of romance, steamy scenes, and enough action and suspense to keep you turning the pages and No Limit was another winner from her. I highly recommend any of L.P. Dover's books, and if you haven't read any of them you are definitely missing out. I love her Gloves Off series, and I think that her Armed & Dangerous series is set to become another favorite of mine.
