ARC Review: Throb by Vi Keeland

I am a huge fan of Vi Keeland's books, and I could not wait to read Throb. This book was really good, and I couldn't put it down. Her books are always well written and filled with unique and likable characters, and Throb was no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I am already waiting for the next book in this series Beat. Each of these books can be read as a standalone, Throb is the first book in the series and we meet the hero for Beat in this story.

After Cooper's father died, he took over the family production company while his brother Miles decided to branch out on his own and make reality TV shows. While Cooper has continued his father's success, Miles hasn't had the same luck. When Miles comes to Cooper asking for money for his newest show Throb, Cooper has no interest in helping him out. But then he meets the sexy Kate and the attraction between them is instant. When Cooper finds out that Kate is on the reality show, he will do anything to get close to her including helping out his brother. Cooper wants Kate, but to be on the show she signed a contract stating that she wouldn't date or have any kind of sexual relationship with anyone outside the show. If Kate gets caught breaking the rules not only will she be kicked off the show, but she will also lose out on the chance to win the grand prize. She needs to win in order to help her family, but Cooper isn't willing to let the connection between them go. Can they get through the show and Kate having to date another man and make it out together?

I really liked Cooper. He was such a great guy, and he was always so straight forward with Kate. He told it like it was, but he also was really patient with her as well. He knew why she was doing the show, and although he asked her to quit he never tried to force her or give her an ultimatum. I liked that he also wasn't willing to let go though, and he was determined to show her what was between them. He really fought for her and he would have done anything he could to help her out. Kate was sweet and nice, and I liked that she was so dedicated to her family. She never lead Cooper on, and from the beginning she tried to tell him that she couldn't date him until the show was over. These two had such great chemistry though, and I loved how witty and playful they were together. They got along great from the start, and I loved seeing them challenge each other. They were also super hot together, and you could just feel the spark between them. While I liked Flynn and thought that he was really great, I never felt any real chemistry between him and Kate. They always just seemed like great friends to me.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story. It was a quick and easy read that I didn't want to put down. I really enjoyed the characters and thought that the story was extremely well written. I thought that Cooper and Kate were a great couple, and I was rooting for them to find a way to make their relationship work. These two were so great together, and I really enjoyed seeing them fall for one another. I have to say that while I didn't like Flynn for Kate, I absolutely loved his character! I thought that he was so sweet and down to earth for a rockstar, and I can't wait to see him find his match! He was so nice to Kate, and I loved that he saw through the fake girls on the show. I can't wait to read Beat, and I look forward to reading more from Vi Keeland in the future.
