RFTC Hall Pass Event with Megan Erickson

Megan worked as a journalist covering real-life dramas before she decided she liked writing her own endings better and switched to fiction.

She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, two kids and two cats. When she's not tapping away on her laptop, she's probably listening to the characters in her head who won't stop talking.

Hello! Thanks for having me on the blog and Happy Anniversary to RFTC! I met Dani in New Orleans last year and we had a blast making hats. =) So, today I’m sharing my Hall Pass picks and I’m really excited. Here we go!

Tate from Sweet Dreams by Kristen Ashley

Ms. KA is one of my favorite authors because she has such a unique voice. Even in her contemporary books, she creates a world that is solely hers with characters that are vibrant, fun, and real. Tate in Sweet Dreams will always be my favorite. He’s not perfect, not by a long shot, and the first encounter the heroine, Lauren, has with him is not pleasant. Yet KA writes him with an earnest confidence and a hint of vulnerability so that by the end of the book, I’m head over heels for Tate.

Matt from Staking his Claim by Tessa Bailey

Tessa can write a hot as hell hero and Matt might be my favorite. From his dirty mouth to his kink to his devotion to his friends and most of all, to the love of his life, Lucy, he is hands down a treat to read. He has that tortured hero act that I fall for every time.

Griff from Hot Head by Damon Suede

Griff. Oh Griff, you big, red-headed softie, you. I’ve read this book no less than three times, and Damon writes firefighter Griff’s yearning for his straight best friend in a way that I feel deep in my soul. I am completely sold on the relationship and realness of Griff and Dante. They need each other, they love each other, and it’s incredible to read their journey.

“Your life needs an airbag. I swear, Anastagio, you should have come equipped when you were born.”

Just then Dante leaned against him, brow between his shoulder blades for a moment, so tentatively Griff held his breath. His voice was almost sheepish.

“Nah. Everyone knows I was born defective. They didn’t install you until later.”

He controls the game, but she’s rewriting all the rules…

Marley Lake is no stranger to awkwardness, but getting caught watching a dirty GIF by the company’s hot new IT guy exceeds even her standards. That is, until she realizes he's as turned on by it as she is. But with a big promotion on the line, she refuses to let her current dry spell be her downfall. Maybe.

Austin Rivers has no business lusting after the irresistible editor of Gamers Magazine. He's a secret partner in the business—and technically Marley’s boss. One look at that GIF, though, and he’s ready to install a whole lot more than just software…as long as she never finds out who he really is.

But reality’s not as virtual as it seems, and when Austin’s identity jeopardizes Marley’s promotion, he has to change his game or risk losing the only woman with the cheat code to his heart.
