Drexler University Transfer Student Application
Name: Payton Daniels
Year: incoming senior

{DRAFT}

Short Answer Question #1: Why are you interested in our college?
Truth circle? Anywhere in my home state, California, is the last place I want to be. I’ve always loved Drexler University and the unbeatable medical program. Drexler is my only hope at not ending up in debt purgatory the next step I want to take in achieving my bachelors and future medical degree. I’d rather walk on glass, barefoot, than be in the same pre-med program as my asshole ex-boyfriend, but hell, I’m kinda in a bind here be honored to be a part of such an elite program.

Short Answer Question #2: What can you bring to this program?
I study obsessively…double shot vanilla lattes and chocolate covered coffee beans, anyone? very hard in all my classes. I’ve gotten straight A’s and had zero social life for the past three years of college in all my core science classes and will probably not use 90% of it in my future career as an ER surgeon will use my extensive knowledge in med school and beyond.

Short Answer Question #3: Who in your life has most influenced you?
My mother. She recently was murdered by my dad via assisted suicide passed away from stage four breast cancer. She is my inspiration for wanting to help others and prevent other families from suffering from loss.

Short Answer Question #4: Is there anything else we should know about you?
I am passionate about the medical field and will be an upstanding servant of the public cough cough unlike my murdering bastard father cough cough when I earn my medical degree. I’ve wanted to be a doctor ever since my parents bought me my first Dr. Fixit playset—I’m happy to report my cat Evie made it through 273 successful brain surgeries at the hand of my plastic scalpel. I’d love to not end up on a 20/20 episode like other certain members in my family make a difference in peoples’ lives.

Love burns hotter the second time around…

Two years ago, the medical world was shaken by scandal, and Payton Daniels's family was at the center of it. The second she graduated, Payton left everything behind?her high school sweetheart, her family, and the controversy surrounding her mother's death--and hid within the anonymity of college. But Payton's ex, Blake Hiller, hasn't forgiven her for leaving, and when he enrolls in the same medical ethics class, she panics. She can't run the risk of him telling everyone who she really is.

As if being at the same university isn't enough, both Blake and Payton land the same internship. Forced together, their passion for each other reignites, but when Payton is asked to testify in her father's high-profile trial, she must choose between risking her acceptance into medical school to help her father, and losing every connection to her past--including the only guy she's ever loved.
